AS PART OF ITS CARA U SABAH: KAAMATAN CELEBRATIONS
In collaboration with Astro and Grab Malaysia, U Mobile is adding to the Kaamatan festivities by hosting Cara U Sabah: Kaamatan from 27 May – 31 May 2024. Cara U Sabah: Kaamatan takes place right opposite the Kadazan-Dusun Cultural Association (KDCA), where the official Kaamatan celebrations are being held.
To elevate the experience for all Kaamatan festivalgoers, U Mobile is also launching Sabah’s first-ever 5G Bus, which will provide free shuttle services from Imago Mall to KDCA, from 10am – 7pm. Powered by U Mobile’s unbeatable 5G network, the double-decker 5G bus enables festivalgoers to enjoy U Mobile’s ultra-fast 5G throughout the journey as well as activities like VR gaming, karaoke, live busker performances as well as a neon-lit #OOTD Wall. Festivalgoers who snap a photo with the #OOTD Wall on-board the 5G Bus and upload it to their Instagram or TikTok account stand a chance to win prizes like 5G phones and earbuds. Festivalgoers may stay on the 5G Bus for multiple trips to fully immerse in the various experiences.
Festivalgoers will be dropped off at Cara U Sabah: Kaamatan, where more exciting activities await. U Mobile will be giving away 2000 prizes at the event, ranging from 5G phones, earbuds, Grab vouchers, popcorn and cotton candy. There will also be opportunities to meet ERA Sabah personalities, beauty queens and content creators, whilst Grab Malaysia will also be having a dedicated GrabFood 5-star booth at the event to add to the merriment.
Cara U Sabah: Kaamatan follows the recent launch of U Mobile’s first store in East Malaysia, located at Imago Shopping Mall, Kota Kinabalu, and the successful Cara U Sabah Fest, a three-day festival showcasing Sabah’s rich culture and talents. The initiatives are part of U Mobile’s ongoing drive to expand brand and network presence in the region.
