A Smartwatch That Looks At Diabetes Risk?
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series introduces a Huawei-exclusive Diabetes Risk Study, led by Universiti Malaya.
Using pulse-wave signals collected through the watch’s PPG sensor, together with information such as age, gender, height and weight, the study assesses potential diabetes risk after 3 to 14 days of continuous wear.
The idea is to encourage users to become more aware of their health and lifestyle. Of course, it is not meant to replace professional medical advice or diagnosis.
It Also Knows When You’re Ready
Another interesting addition is the new Physical Readiness Score.
Instead of looking at just one health metric, the feature brings together information such as sleep, activity, heart rate variability, recovery and emotional wellbeing into one daily assessment.
Basically, it gives you a quick idea of how ready you might be for the day ahead.
Premium Looks, Outdoor Features
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 comes in 46mm and 41mm versions, while the GT 7 Pro gets a more premium treatment with a nano-tech ceramic bezel, titanium alloy middle frame and sapphire glass.
The AMOLED display can reach up to 3,000 nits, which should make it easier to see outdoors.
For sports and outdoor adventures, Huawei has also upgraded positioning and route tracking, while the Pro model gets new golf and cycling features.
And Yes… The Battery Is Huge 👀
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Pro and GT 7 46mm offer up to 21 days of battery life, while the 41mm version offers up to 14 days.
The series also supports Touch ’n Go QR payments and works with both Android and iOS smartphones.
When Can You Get It?
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series officially launches in Malaysia on 29 September 2026.
Customers can also enjoy complimentary gifts worth up to RM713, including the HUAWEI EasyCross Strap, HUAWEI FreeBuds SE 2, three months of HUAWEI Health+ and other benefits.
Pricing and availability will be revealed during the official launch.
